Low-Carb Chocolate Cake in a Mug

This recipe is based off of my favorite traditional, non-keto mug cake. I swapped out the flours and other ingredients to make the chocolate mug cake low-carb and keto friendly.

Once you have a low-carb chocolate cake in a mug recipe that you love, it's excellent to use as a base in other recipes.

This chocolate mug cake uses both almond and coconut flour which seems to provide the best texture and flavor experience.

Allow the mug cake to cool before digging in. Don't leave your fork in the mug cake while it cools. The fork gets extremely hot and is like a hot poker if you do so!

Although this chocolate cake is easy, it's also enough work to deter you from making a second. Unless you plan to share, there's no reason to make a larger cake than the perfect portion served in a mug.

I don't know about you, but if I know there's a large cake in my kitchen, I'm probably going back for a second or third slice. But, if I make a cake in a mug, my brain realizes I'm satisfied enough to not put in the effort for a second serving.
